“Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it.” -Terry Pratchett

Indeed.

The darkness may arrive first, but then, no matter how miniscule, once shining, that light never fails to push back the darkness removing it from wherever that light dare shine. Darkness always bows and succumbs to light.

Feels like there’s a metaphor for life wrapped up in there somewhere. That, or an ad for tealight candles …

XXVI Quote, Images ‘n’ Clip of the Day

“A house is never still in darkness to those who listen intently; there is a whispering in distant chambers, an unearthly hand presses the snib of the window, the latch rises. Ghosts were creates when the first man awoke in the night.” -J.M Barrie
