Up Above It

Bean made that fabulous wedge of scalloped potatoes to accompany the pork tenderloin I prepared for Christmas this past year. And I thought I didn’t like ‘em scalloped- from scratch as opposed to the boxed imitation from many years ago made all the difference. Sunlight poured in from outside setting our plates aglow. It wasn’t quite a Christmas miracle, but darn purdy, all the same. ♦

Also in attendance:
blackberries and peaches in ginger-lime syrup
maple-mustard glazed apples and onions
thymed portobello and button mushrooms
honeyed carrots
