It’s the year of the arrow what with Brave, The Hunger Games, Snow White & the Huntsman, Once Upon a Time, and more. Specifically, shot from the hands of a female.
Can shoot a wicked arrow myself. At least I could many years ago. Took a class and made friends with the bull’s eye. Or rather, enemies. I loved the science of the measurements required in assessing the shot- the length from the target, and how to properly adjust the eye and arm, the ritual and mechanics of pulling the arrow into place, and the callus earned from practice.
Read The Hunger Games at Bean’s request before the movie hit theatres. In squelching all media nonsense concerning the character of Rue, I found her to be EXACTLY how I envisioned her. Startlingly so. Lovely girl, her countenance on screen. ♦
