Afternoon delight! Troy, is that you? That flick Reality Bites from the mid-nineties grew up and married Nick Hornby’s book that became a film, Juliet, Naked. Both star a personal muse, Ethan Hawke. Nick Hornby is the author of many wonderful books-turned-films like Fever Pitch, About a Boy, and High Fidelity, to name three. Met him and his lovely retro boots at a book signing in recent years. Juliet, Naked features a favorite of mine, a solid soundtrack, and this one includes a heavy dose of Hawke performances. He covers Waterloo Sunset by The Kinks which was clearly an invite to revisit their version. <3 Have a listen.
