Rousong, or meat wool, meat floss, pork floss, flossy pork or pork sung, is a dried meat product with a light and fluffy texture similar to coarse cotton, originating from China. ‘Cause nothing quite says “meat” like a light fluffy texture and a cotton of any kind. It’s also got an equally perplexing counterpart in the form of fish floss.
I can perhaps see it working tucked away in a bun, maybe, but as a stand alone enticement, it’s questionable. Is it likened to that of shredded meat, perhaps? (To which I vote an enthusiastic “yes!”) At any rate, this is a must-try sometime, curiosity must have its needs met.
