NO SUMMER BUMMER
No summer bummer here! Many fun times this season on the heels of particularly tough ones. I so often only post the lovely times, as I'm so very grateful for them, magnifying the good.
This collage encompasses just a handful, with my Mom joining Edie and me in conquering the Leavenworth Alpine coaster, for one.
Also surprised Edie with a sleepover at the Squirrel's Nest treehouse complete with a cozy loft, less cozy outhouse, and friendly pot-bellied pigs roaming about the grounds.
We partook of fine cheese dishes at The Cheese Room before Clue at the 5th Avenue.
Bean scored us a fantastic farmhouse to make our mom's dreams come true - a (light) pink barn, pink kitchen appliances, friendly alpacas just out front, chickens and goats to the left, and bunnies in the backyard all up for frequent visits.
Stayed at the Starrett House in Port Townsend (more pink, though it's being restored to its original white with black trim), in an all purple suite hoping to delight my mom with her favorite color in a fancy-schmancy historical building with a massive spiral staircase. Her most memorable takeaway ended up being outside. Deer! They were positively everywhere, throughout the neighborhoods roaming in little groups, lounging to the left, to the right, treating vehicles like just another species passing by.
