Indeed.
The darkness may arrive first, but then, no matter how minuscule, once shining, that light never fails to push back the darkness removing it from wherever that light dare shine. Darkness always bows and succumbs to light.
Feels like there's a metaphor for life wrapped up in there somewhere. That, or an ad for tea light candles …
