THE LAST BOOKSTORE

LA POST 5 The Last Bookstore, sigh. So many visual treats within! Book sculptures galore, complete with a book tunnel to walk (dance?) through towards additional bookish delights. The store boasts a sci-fi room, and a vault of crime and mystery kept by an actual vault door, likely a relic from times past when the building housed a bank. One area organizes all books by color alone (my visual preference despite its impracticality). An open top floor houses artists in residence with mini shops to peruse and purchase from, and there's an antiquated books room, a rare books room, and the employee bathroom is hidden behind a trick bookshelf. You'll have to find your coffee elsewhere, no cafe, but they sell used (and new) vinyl as well, so the place is a solid rec.
