Reporting from the heart of Chicago once again, the Ice Cream Museum is filled with pop arty rooms that feed the eyes and tum with frosty treats provided throughout. And though I’m all about the New York fold, Lou Malnati’s deep-dish pie was perfection. Enjoyed a divine tasting menu of Spanish tapas at Jaleo by José Andrés, resisted the urge (or did I?) to color in the black and white line art of the charming 2D Restaurant, and spotted a number of toy packaging designs I created in years past stocked at one of my fave art supply stores housed in the cutest fairy tale-ish building in the theater district. White Castle, your gooey butter cake on-a-stick has earned a spot on the guilty pleasures list.
“Kid me” said “yes, please!” and “adult me” turned a blind eye.
